Trapped Man Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Summit

SUMMIT, NJ — Firefighters rescued a 64-year-old man who was trapped in a car following a crash on Tuesday morning, Summit Police said.

At around 10:30 a.m., officers went to the intersection of Glenside Avenue and West R Tracy Drive for a report of a multi-vehicle accident.

The Summit Fire Department had to help free one person who was trapped inside one of the cars.

The man was then taken to Overlook Medical Center with a potential neck injury, authorities said.

Both cars were towed from the scene.

The road was closed for a period of time on Tuesday morning, but has since reopened.
