Pizza Food Truck, Music To Be Featured At SAGE Community Fair In Summit

SAGE Eldercare is hosting a community fair where residents can learn about various services while enjoying food trucks and entertainment.

SUMMIT, NJ — SAGE Eldercare, an organization aimed at helping older adults remain in their homes, is hosting a community fair in Summit, which will feature local food trucks, music and entertainment.

The fair is set to take place on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in SAGE's parking lot located at 290 Broad Street. Representatives from the organization will be present to show residents what eldercare resources are available.

“We are excited to be able to offer this to our neighbors and community after the past two years of pandemic social distancing,” said Galina Muller, Director of Finance and Administration at SAGE. “It’s time we all come together again and begin to embrace life and community.”

SAGE Eldercare staff will be discussing the many services SAGE offers including:

  • Furniture Restoration
  • Homecare
  • Meals on Wheels
  • SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program)
  • Spend-A-Day
  • Volunteer opportunities
  • Your Decisions Matter

Local organizations in Summit, such as Atlantic Health System, Bradley Funeral Home, BRIDGES Outreach and The Visual Arts Center of NJ, will also be at the fair to share all the services they have to offer.

Attendees can also grab a slice from Avellino's mobile wood-fired pizza truck that will be set up at the event.

The event is free and open to the public and will feature music, raffles and free giveaways.
