PSE&G Pipe Replacement Underway In Summit: See Impacted Streets
Road closures and detours will be in place while crews are replacing the pipes. Find out which streets will be impacted below:
SUMMIT, NJ — The PSE&G project to replace gas pipes throughout Summit is currently underway, according to an announcement from the City.
Work is expected to be complete by early summer 2023 depending on project progress over the winter.
PSE&G crews will be working on the following streets in Summit over the next week:

Hillcrest Avenue between Bellevue Avenue and Woodland Avenue
Hillcrest Avenue between Woodmere Drive and Fernwood Road
Karen Way between Canoe Brook Parkway and Woodland Avenue
Hawthorne Place between Beechwood Road and Shadyside Avenue
Whittredge Road between Hobart Avenue and Essex Road
Once work on those roads is complete, crews will continue work on the following roads:

Oxbow Lane between Summit Avenue and Fernwood Road
Wade Drive between Woodland Avenue and Karen Way
Little Wolf Road between Drum Hill Road and Tanglewood Lane
Road closures and detours will be in effect, and Summit Police will be onsite to direct traffic. Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting.
