Road Closed In Summit Due To PSE&G Gas Pipe Replacement

SUMMIT, NJ — A section of Dale Drive in Summit is closed Monday due to an ongoing PSE&G gas pipe replacement project.

Dale Drive is closed between Tanglewood Drive and West Lane until around 4 p.m. on Monday, according to an announcement from the city.

Work on this project is expected to be complete by early summer 2023 depending on project progress over the winter.

PSE&G crews will be replacing mains and services on the following streets in Summit over the next week:

  • Summit Avenue
  • Euclid Avenue between Beechwood Road and Summit Avenue
  • Kent Place BoulevardKaren Way between Butler Parkway and Woodland Avenue
  • Ox Bow Lane between Summit Avenue Fernwood Road
  • Wildwood Lane
  • Little Wolf Road between Drum Hill Drive and Tanglewood Drive
  • Dale Drive

Road closures and detours will be in effect, and Summit Police will be onsite to direct traffic. Work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting.
