Road Works Begins On Morris Ave. In Summit, Water Main Installation

Summit residents should expect delays on Morris Ave. while NJ American Water installs water mains, according to the city.

SUMMIT, NJ — New Jersey American Water begins installing new water mains along Morris Avenue in Summit starting Wednesday, according to the city.

The road work will take place between River Road and Kent Place Boulevard along Morris Avenue.

The project is expected to be complete on Wednesday, Aug. 10, weather permitting, the city said in an announcement.

Work will be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Summit Police will be onsite to direct traffic.

Emergency vehicles will always have access to the road.
