SAGE Eldercare to Offer Presentation on Immunizations to Keep Adults Healthy

SAGE Eldercare will offer a presentation on immunizations that adults need to prevent becoming infected with vaccine-preventable diseases.

The free presentation will be led by Walgreens Pharmacist Prapti Bhatt on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1-2 p.m., at 290 Broad St. The discussion will include information about vaccines that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommend for older adults such as flu, pneumonia, tetanus and shingles.

“Since seniors are at a particularly high risk of illness and death from a number of diseases that can be prevented with vaccines. SAGE Eldercare is pleased to provide this presentation as a service to the community,” said Angela Sullivan, SAGE executive director.
