A stolen car was also located nearby.

SUMMIT, NJ — Three people wearing ski-masks tried to break into a Summit home late Monday night, Summit Police said.

At around 11:59 p.m., the department received a 9-1-1 call from a resident along Canoe Brook Place who said surveillance footage captured multiple people at the back door of the home.

The caller told police that the three individuals, who police are calling suspects, left the property when they saw the owner of the home through a first-floor window.
