Summit Dad's Love For His Wife & Family 'Is An Inspiration'

SUMMIT, NJ— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Summit, meet Paul.

If you know a dad who sends sweet, silly or thoughtful texts your way, you’re pretty lucky. Texts from Dad have a way of putting a smile on our faces — and this Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the fathers behind the phones!

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to shine a light on awesome dads and the funny, insightful things they say. This submission comes from Amy who nominated Paul of Summit.

What makes your dad extra special?

He always worked so hard to support his family. His wife and three girls. He would put us first no matter what. Recently my mom was put into a nursing home due to her dementia diagnosis and it has been tremendously hard on him. He is brokenhearted but goes to see her every day to make sure she never feels alone. His love for her and his family is an inspiration. He deserves to be honored every day!

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

His dedication and care for my mom, while she has been battling dementia, is inspiring. He helped take care of her for the past 10 years putting her needs before his until he had to surrender and put her into a nursing home. It was the hardest decision he has ever had to make and I know it was for the best, but it broke his heart. He goes to visit her every day.
