Summit Library Offers Free + Discounted Museum Passes
Summit residents can access free and discounted passes to several local museums and attractions through the Public Library.

SUMMIT, NJ — Summit Free Public Library's Museum Pass program is offering free and discounted visits to local museums and attractions.
“This summer, let your imagination take flight at The Intrepid Museum, explore history at The Eastern State Penitentiary, connect with nature at The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, discover art at The Guggenheim and Museum of Modern Art, engage in playful learning experiences at Imagine That!!! and more,” said Library Director Amy Behr-Shields.
Behr-Shields said passes are available at no cost for Summit Library cardholders. Library cards are available to all residents, employees, students and property owners in Summit, as well as paid members.

Museum passes can be reserved by going to the library's website or downloading the Summit Free Public Library app. People can check out the pass for three days and reserve passes months in advance, according Head of Circulation Tahirah Clarke.
“With these passes, the library and museums provide opportunities for our community to grow and advance through education, interaction, and entertainment," Clarke said.

Entry to all of New Jersey’s state parks, forests, and recreation areas is free of charge all summer long.
