The mission of Student/Partner Alliance (S/PA) is to support motivated high school students at private high schools in New Jersey’s urban areas of Essex, Hudson and Union counties with tuition assistance and mentoring to increase their chances for college admission and scholarships, and ultimately to lead successful and productive lives.

Student/Partner Alliance has awarded scholarships to its new class of 2029 students at the following area high schools and is seeking new mentors:

  • St. Benedict’s Academy (Newark, NJ)
  • St. Vincent Academy (Newark, NJ)
  • St. Dominic Academy (Jersey City, NJ)
  • Hudson Catholic High School (Jersey City, NJ)
  • Roselle Catholic High School (Roselle, NJ)

A Mentor is a trusted and experienced individual willing to make a four-year commitment to provide coaching and advice to an urban student attending one of our 5 college-preparatory high schools. Throughout the academic year, events are held to bring Mentors and students together in a group setting. This year for instance, mentors and students interacted at breakfasts and lunches at the schools, a group bowling trip, holiday parties, pizza parties, a Career Fair and Virtual Events on topics such as, College Planning, Everyday Banking and Resume Building.
