Summit To Offer Paid Summer Internships In 2023
Calling all political science, public administration, human resources, finance and communications majors!
SUMMIT, NJ - If you’re a college student still on the hunt for a paid summer internship, don’t fret: the application for Summit’s summer internship program is still open.
Now in its 14th year, the Summit internship program offers the opportunity for students majoring in political science, public administration, human resources management, finance, or communications to “add significant project management experience to their resumes,” according to a Monday news release from the city.
Interns will be paid $15 per hour and are required to work 24 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, for four weeks in June.

Summit internship program alumni have since acquired positions in the White House internship program and with the U.S. State Department, as well as secured jobs at Google, Tesla Motors, US Institute of Peace and Goldman Sachs, the city said.
Applications will be accepted Feb.13 through March 10.

“The City of Summit internship program is an excellent way for young residents to gain important work experience,” Summit Mayor Nora Radest said in a statement. “We offer a number of interesting opportunities for students to pursue with direct involvement in municipal projects.”
A limited number of positions are available in the summer internship program. Interested applicants must send a resume to HR@cityofsummit.org.
