Robot Revolution is New Jersey's largest robotics school and is offering a summer camp in both Summit and Edison.
As of now, Robot Revolution is limiting capacity to 50 percent, and students and instructors will get daily health screenings, temperature checks and will be required to wear masks at all times.
There will be no food or drink at the facility unless the student is packing a lunch for a full day. All pickup and drop off will be curbside and no parents will be allowed inside.
Here are some of the camps they are offering this summer:
- Introduction to Robotics Onsite (for new students in grades 4-8): Students will be able to build their own VEX IQ robot and solve a series of fun challenges. This is a half-day, two-week class. Register here.
- Robotics Summer Projects Onsite (for continuing students in grades 4-8): Continuing students will be challenged with new projects every week and can get a head start on their competition robot for the fall. Both half-day and full-day options are available. Register here.
More options for Robot Revolution camps are coming soon, according to their website.
Summit is currently offering a 10 percent off summer camp registrations through March 31.

Several Summit churches have teamed up to offer a camp for kids this summer, called commUNITY Camp. Central Presbyterian Church on Maple Street will host the week-long camp, in partnership with St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Christ Church and Calvary Episcopal Church.
The camp, running from 8:30 a.m. to noon, from July 25 to 29 will include stories, snacks, games, music, science and a focus on community service through a connection with Bridges.
This summer’s camp will also be supplemented by several youth-led “after-camps” that will take place in the afternoons following commUNITY Camp. From noon to 4:00 p.m. mini-camps including sports, theater, cooking and more will be available. These camps were developed by youth leaders, assisted by adult mentors, and will be fully supervised.
To register for any of these camps, visit centralpres.org.
Several camps are being offered by Summit Community Programs, including a recreation camp, sports camp, pony share camp, speciality camps, Little Hilltopper Camp and On the Ball Soccer Camp.
Registration for these camps must be done in person at the Summit Community Center at 100 Morris Avenue. Online registration will open once all in-person individuals have registered, should any spots remain.
More information can be found here.
Patch will continue to update this article with more camps that are offering registration.
