1 Dead, Another Hurt In Weekend Shooting In Bergen County: Prosecutor
A weekend shooting in Hackensack left one man dead and another injured, the prosecutor's office said.
HACKENSACK, NJ — A weekend shooting in Hackensack left one man dead and another hurt, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
28-year-old Vidal Nieves was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, after the shooting that occurred around 5 p.m. Saturday near Essex and Lehigh Streets, Musella said.
Another man, who was not identified, sustained non-life threatening injuries, the prosecutor's office said.

The shooting appeared to be an isolated incident. An investigation is ongoing, the prosecutor's office added.
