3 Teens Charged For Threatening Shootings At 2 Bergen County Schools: Prosecutor
Three teens called 2 public schools in Bergen County and threatening shootings, prosecutors said.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Three teens have been charged for making calls to two Bergen County public schools last month "threatening shootings at both locations," prosecutors said Friday.
Two teens from Bergen County and one from the Bronx have been charged with with false public alarm and terroristic threats, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Prosecutors said that on Jan. 23, a 16 and 15-year-old juvenile from Bergen County and a Bronx 15-year-old used technology to anonymize their caller ID, then called Lincoln Elementary School in Fairview and Ridgefield Park Junior/Senior High School to make threats.

The Bergen County Regional SWAT Team, police from both towns, and other agencies responded.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Threat Management Unit and detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit traced the calls.

Prosecutors said that they were charged with two counts of the second-degree false public alarm charge and two counts of third-degree terroristic threats.
All three were released into the custody of their guardians to await further action by Bergen County Superior Court's Family Law Division, prosecutors said.
