Bergen County Schools Present 'A Growing Epidemic: Teen Substance Abuse' March 3

The seminar aims to inform on a topic that's "facing all parents in our community."

Three schools in Bergen County and working together to present “A Growing Epidemic: Teen Substance Abuse” on Tuesday, March 3 at 7 p.m.

The event, which is presented by the Middle School Committee of the Cresskill Middle/High School Home and Social Association in partnership with Dumont High School and Tenafly High School, aims to inform on a topic that’s “facing all parents in our community,” according to a press release.

Panelists include detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force, Aykut Ozden, MD, a child, adolescent and addiction specialist, Ellen Elias, MA, CPS, who serves as Senior VP of Prevention and Community Services for Children’s Aid and Family Services, and parents who lost children to drugs.

The event will be held at Merritt Memorial School Auditorium, located at 1 Dogwood Lane in Cresskill.
