Cliffside Park Man Charged For Sexually Assaulting Minor: Prosecutor
A Cliffside Park man was arrested for sexually assaulting a minor, said Bergen County Prosecutors.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Cliffside Park man was arrested last week for sexually assaulting a minor, said Bergen County Prosecutors.
Wilmer Hernandez-Barrera, 32, was charged with sexual assault on Nov. 26, said the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office on Monday.
Prosecutors said that on Oct. 11, the Palisades Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile that had occurred in the past.

Investigators determined that the alleged assault occurred in Fairview "on multiple occasions, when the child was under the age of 16," prosecutors said.
Hernandez-Barrera was arrested in Paramus and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault as well as second-degree endangering.

He was taken to the Bergen County Jail to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, prosecutors said.
