NJ Turnpike, GWB Lanes Reopen After Crash And Police Activity

Police activity had blocked the lower level of the George Washington Bridge on the New Jersey side.

LEONIA, NJ — All lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike southbound have reopened approaching the George Washington Bridge on Monday afternoon, and the lower level of the bridge is no longer blocked.

A crash was reported shortly before 3 p.m. in the I-95 local lanes near Exit 72, per 511nj.org. All lanes were blocked for about an hour.

Police activity also had the lower level of the George Washington Bridge blocked off in Fort Lee, just off the span at Fletcher Avenue. That closure was also cleared as of 4 p.m. Monday.
