Flood Advisory Issued In Bergen County
The county is experiencing flooding due to recent heavy rainfall and a tidal surge, the National Weather Service said Friday morning.
TEANECK, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory until 1 p.m. Friday afternoon in Bergen County.
The NWS is warning of minor flooding in low-lying areas and areas with poor drainage, including roadways.
Urban areas and small streams have flooded due to recent heavy rainfall and a tidal surge, according to the National Weather Service.

Areas that that will experience flooding include Lyndhurst, Rutherford, Ridgefield, Fort Lee, Englewood, Teterboro, Teaneck, Cliffside Park, Palisades Park, North Arlington, Fairview, Ridgefield Park, Edgewater, Wallington, Little Ferry, Leonia, East Rutherford, Bogota, Carlstadt and
Englewood Cliffs, the NWS said.
"Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads," the NWS warned, adding that most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
