Investigators are exploring whether the apparent homicide of an elderly East Rutherford woman could be linked to two similar Bergen County murders, including the 2010 slaying of a 74-year-old Teaneck activist. 

An Englewood teenager missing for more than two months was arrested by New York City police after officers found her in the Bronx, according to authorities and a family spokesman. 

An alleged Teaneck drug dealer accused of shooting at a vehicle near Route 4 early Sunday was arrested this week while authorities search for his associate, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The Teaneck High School football game was cancelled after officials received a threat that someone was planning to bring a gun, police said. 

Eleven bus routes serving about 2,000 riders have been detoured indefinitely off the Anderson Street Bridge between Teaneck and Hackensack after officials ordered a 15-ton weight restriction on the busy crossing, NJ Transit said.

A county-funded study recommended against merging the Teaneck, Bogota and Little Ferry police departments, saying the move would offer only "marginal" savings and was unlikely to increase the level of service in the three communities.
