Hackensack Teen Accused Of Stabbing Two Men Inside Vehicle
A 19-year-old from Hackensack was arrested and charged in connection with a July 25 stabbing of two men in their early 20s.
HACKENSACK, NJ — A Hackensack teenager was arrested in connection with the July 25 stabbing of two men in their early 20s in the area of Beech Street and Overlook Avenue, city Detective Captain Michael Antista said.
Thomas Samuels, 19, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, a third-degree crime; possession of a weapon, a third-degree crime; and unlawful possession of a weapon, a fourth-degree crime. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail on a warrant, pending a first appearance in court, Antista said.
A 21-year-old and 22-year-old were stabbed inside a vehicle in Hackensack, and, after flagging down an officer in the area, were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening wounds. The suspect fled the scene and was unable to be located, police said.

Following an investigation, police later identified the suspect as Samuels and learned that he was arrested by South Hackensack police on an unrelated incident later that evening. He was in possession of the knife, when arrested, that may have been used in the stabbing, police said.
