Holy Name’s Physician Network Continues Expansion

Adds new clinicians to its physician network, representing specialties such as neonatology, orthopedics, psychiatry, and family medicine

Holy Name, the region’s leading independent health system, announced today the addition of new clinicians to its physician network, representing specialties such as neonatology, orthopedics, psychiatry, and family medicine. The Holy Name Physicians network comprises more than 400 primary and specialty care providers with locations throughout northern New Jersey.

"We are proud to continually strengthen our physician network by adding several specialists who prioritize high quality, patient-centered care,” said Dr. Vasantha Kondamudi, executive vice president and chief medical officer at Holy Name. “These providers enable Holy Name to deepen our clinical and academic capabilities and better serve the diverse needs of the community.”

Darine Androwis, MD is a family medicine physician dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care that supports both physical and emotional health. She values building lasting relationships with patients and is passionate about preventive medicine and improving community access to care. Dr. Androwis earned her medical degree from Hashemite University of Medicine and Surgery in Jordan and completed her residency in family medicine at St. Joseph’s Health Care System in Paterson, NJ, where she later became an attending and faculty physician.

Samuel Joseph, MD is an anesthesiologist who approaches patient care with empathy and attentiveness. He is proud to return to Holy Name after volunteering at the medical center in 2005, an experience that inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. Dr. Joseph earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies, and completed residencies at the University of South Florida and Temple University Health System. He was most recently an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He has conducted research on intraoperative monitoring, and earlier in his career, he served as a staff sergeant in the paratroopers brigade of the Israel Defense Forces.

Maxim Kashin, MD is a pulmonologist who is honored to care for patients during their most vulnerable moments. Dr. Kashin earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean and completed his residency and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.

Juyeon Park, MD, MPH is a family medicine physician who provides conscientious care to all patients. She finds the most rewarding part of her work is seeing them regain their health. Dr. Park earned her medical degree from Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed her residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where she served as chief resident and later as a clinical and teaching attending for five years. Originally from Bergen County, Dr. Park is proud to be part of Holy Name, drawn by its commitment to patient-centered care, diversity, and deep New Jersey roots.

Areej Qadri, MD is a neonatologist who provides gentle, evidence-based care for newborns and infants, partnering closely with parents every step of the way. She finds the most rewarding part of her work is seeing fragile newborns grow stronger and go home with their families. Dr. Qadri earned her medical degree from Jordan University School of Medicine and completed her residency at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. She completed her fellowship in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Her current research focuses on family-centered care approaches that de-emphasize medication for infants with neonatal abstinence syndrome.

Brittany Reid, MD is a neonatologist who prioritizes communication and collaboration to deliver evidence-based, family-centered care. She values working with NICU families and seeing her patients’ health improve. Dr. Reid earned her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York, and completed her residency in pediatrics at INOVA Children’s Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. She completed a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York.

Shivani Shah, MD, MBA is a psychiatrist who provides empathetic, evidence-based care that supports each person’s mental and physical health. She prioritizes collaborating with her patients in fostering growth, resilience, and wellbeing. Dr. Shah finds value in seeing her patients recognize their strengths and make meaningful progress. She earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York and completed her residency at Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.

JaQuellah Taylor, MD is an OB-GYN committed to providing compassionate, equitable care. She is honored to be present for life-changing moments in her patients’ lives and values the relationships she builds with them. Dr. Taylor earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in the West Indies and completed her residency at Nuvance Health Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, and Voorhees Hospital in Voorhees Township, New Jersey.

Yu Ning Chan, DO is a family medicine physician who delivers tailored, compassionate, and evidence-based care. She strives to empower patients to take an active role in their health and values her role in supporting them throughout their lives. Dr. Chan earned her medical degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Overlook Medical Center where she was academic chief resident. She is also trained in osteopathic manipulative treatment, which uses gentle hands-on techniques as an alternative to pain medication.

Nishath Rahman, DO is an internal medicine physician who values preventative medicine and enjoys educating patients on how to lead healthy lives. With an expertise in sleep medicine, she understands the vital role sleep has in wellness and longevity. Dr. Rahman was inspired by her father, a physician, and the deep relationships he built with his patients. She earned her medical degree from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, New Mexico and completed an internal medicine residency at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown, New York.

Daren Shiu, DO is a family medicine doctor and a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care Physicians. He earned his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia, and completed his residency at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, Ohio, where he was co-chief resident. From there, he completed a hospice and palliative care fellowship at St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Maria J. Borowski, NP is a board-certified nurse practitioner providing comprehensive, evidence-based care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from The College of New Jersey and a post-master’s certification in acute care from New York University. Maria values Holy Name’s collaborative, team-driven environment.

Marissa Hill, PA is a physician assistant specializing in orthopedics. She earned a Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and a Master of Health Science in Athletic Training from Long Island University. Marissa’s approach to care centers on active listening and shared decision-making, ensuring that each treatment plan aligns with her patients’ individual recovery goals.
