Man Stole From NJ High School Overnight After Slipping In During Board Meeting: Police
A man slipped into a Bergen County high school during a board meeting and spent the night roaming and stealing, police said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A man was snuck into Teaneck High School during a board meeting and hid overnight to rob the place, police said Friday.
Ryon Reid, 39, formerly of Teaneck, was charged with burglary and theft, said Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr.
On March 13 Teaneck High School staff told police that they had noticed some of their belongings had been moved and someone had been in their classrooms. A reusable shopping bag was missing, one staff member told police.

Police reviewed surveillance cameras and saw that a man had entered the building through an unlocked door just before 9 p.m. on March 12.
A Board of Education meeting was being held at the time, but it didn't appear that the man attended, police said.

The video showed the man entering various locations in the school, and finally leaving at 5:42 a.m.
Police said that they responded to two burglary alarms overnight, around 12:30 and 1:30 a.m., and the alarm company indicated the alarm zone was “perimeter.” Police checked the perimeter, doors, and windows, and found nothing, said the chief.
Reid was charged with third-degree burglary and the disorderly persons offense of theft, and was arrested Thursday near the Teaneck Municipal building.
During the arrest, Reid was found to be in possession of $500,000 in savings bonds. The bonds bore the names of a deceased couple from Brooklyn, police said. He also had their death certificates, police said.
Reid was also charged with receiving stolen property.
He has been taken to the Bergen County Rehabilitation and Correctional Facility, police say.
Detectives are investigating how Reid got the savings bonds and they're hoping to speak with the couple's family.
