Need A Bike? Teaneck To Auction Off Abandoned Bicycles

TEANECK, NJ — Put on Queen's Jazz record — it is almost Bicycle Day again in Teaneck.

The township is auctioning off bicycles Friday in the police department parking lot, and all proceeds will be recorded as revenues not anticipated, town manager Dean Kazinci said.

Brands including Schwinn, Razor, Diamondback, and more (all abandoned property) will be auctioned off at the noon event at 900 Teaneck Road.

Interested buyers can preview the bikes starting at 11 a.m. on the date of the sale, police said in a news release.

Each item will go for a minimum of $1, and all sales are cash only and final, the release said.

"The Township of Teaneck makes no representations concerning the condition of the items or their suitability for any particular purpose," the release added.
