One-Man Show Coming to Teaneck's Puffin Forum
Laurence Luckinbill's "Clarence Darrow Tonight" set for June

The following announcemnt was submitted by the Puffin Cultural Forum:
Coming from a family that took the side of the underdog in any fight, Clarence Darrow continued in that tradition. Known by most as “The Defender of The Damned,” Darrow’s trials include defending John Scopes, who dared to teach evolution; Leopold and Loeb, the thrill killers; communists demonstrating against the system and children forced to work under brutal conditions. He is remembered today as a fierce litigator and one of the greatest criminal defense lawyers in American history, able to charm and disarm the toughest judge and most skeptical juror with great humor and honesty. Award-winning American actor, playwright, director and producer Laurence Luckinbill brings to life this renowned lawyer in a penetrating and riveting performance. Laurence has been writing and acting in his award-winning one-man shows portraying four great Americans -- Lyndon Johnson, Clarence Darrow, Teddy Roosevelt and Ernest Hemingway -- for almost two decades. He has also starred on Broadway, off-Broadway, in TV and movies and has been awarded an Emmy, a Critic’s Choice Circle Award, a Silver Gavel Award. As well, he has been nominated for a Tony and a Drama Desk Award. In 2007, Laurence was inducted into the Arkansas Entertainer’s Hall of Fame. $10 suggested donation.
