1. $5K Reward Issued For Rock-Thrower Who Fractured NJ Student's Skull (patch.com) — Teaneck’s mayor and deputy mayor are personally offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to whoever hurled a rock through a school bus window near the Teaneck exit, seriously injuring an 8-year-old girl. Officials are urging anyone with dash cam footage from Route 95 North to contact State Police, while the girl’s Paramus school brings in counselors and works closely with law enforcement.

Boxing News: 2026 USA Boxing Elite High Performance Selection Camp Attendees Announced (fightnews.com) — A Teaneck boxer, 90kg contender Malachi Georges, has been selected for USA Boxing’s 2026 Elite High Performance Selection Camp in Colorado Springs, putting the township on a national stage. He’ll train and compete for a month with 32 other top fighters as coaches evaluate who will represent Team USA at major international events leading up to future Olympic qualifiers.
   

4. Barrymore Film Center & Teaneck International Film Festival partner to champion independent journalism with the NJ Premiere of "Steal This Story, Please!" (newjerseystage.com) — Teaneck residents can join the Teaneck International Film Festival’s new partnership with Fort Lee’s Barrymore Film Center for the New Jersey premiere of “Steal This Story, Please!” on January 29. The screening, held just across the border, features a post-film talkback with journalist Amy Goodman and producer Karen Ranucci on independent journalism, press freedom, and activism.
