TEANECK, NJ — Teaneck students' SAT scores rank in the bottom half of the average scores across New Jersey, information released by the New Jersey Department of Education shows. The average SAT score in Teaneck for the 2017-18 school year was 1056, or 189th highest in New Jersey out of 307 districts. For the math portion of the exam, Teaneck's average score was 525, good for 193rd highest. For the reading and writing portion, the average Teaneck score was 531, or 185th highest in New Jersey. The SAT scores were part of the state Department of Education's School Performance Reports for the 2017-18 school year. The reports include figures on enrollment, proficiency scores, PARCC scores, graduation rates and SAT scores.
