The Week Ahead: Teaneck to Hold 9/11 Remembrance

Event to honor residents, others who died in 2001 terror attacks.

Teaneck plans to mark the 11th anniversary of the  Tuesday with a ceremony at town hall hosted by the Township Council and Patriotic Observance Advisory Board.

Services will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the parking lot entrance to the at 818 Teaneck Road. 

Teaneck's services have included township officials, emergency responders and veterans. were lost.

Local first responders, including members of the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps and fire department, also after the attacks. 

Nationally, the tragedy has led to a day of service where residents are encouraged to volunteer for various organizations. The Volunteer Center of Bergen County is to benefit the Center for Food Action in Englewood.
