Teaneck School Calendar 2018-19: First Day of School, Vacations

TEANECK, NJ — The first day of school in Teaneck is September 5 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Teaneck District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

September

• 9/5: First Day of School
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)
• 9/26: Back to School Night

October

• 10/8: Four-Hour Session for Students and Staff (PM)

November

• 11/1: Parent Conferences
• 11/8 - 11/9: No School (NJEA Convention)
• 11/21: Four-Hour Session for Students and Staff
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/3: Four-Hour Session for Students and Staff (PM)
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day Recess)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)
• 2/28: Parent/Teacher Conferences

March

• 3/18: Four-Hour Session for Students and Staff (PM)

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/24: Four-Hour Session for Students and Staff
• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/5: No School (Eid al-Fitr)
• 6/20: Last Day of School for Students
• 6/21: Last Day of School for Teachers
