Teaneck Wig Designer’s Work Coming to New York Fashion Week

A Teaneck designer will provide wigs worn by models on the runway at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City.

, teamed up with New York designer Norisol Ferrari to design custom wigs for the live runway show Monday at Lincoln Center.

“I was introduced to Flora through a mutual acquaintance and immediately knew I had to work with her in some capacity. Her beautiful human hair wigs were exactly what I needed to complete many of the looks for my Spring 2013 fashion show,” Ferrari said in a statement.

Shepelsky, who has more than 20 years of experience as a wig designer, maintains showrooms in Teaneck and Manhattan. She has grown her business from one customer in 2006 to thousands worldwide.

“Perfectly poised between form and function, Norisol Ferrari designs exhibit no gratuitous gestures, leaning toward a refined utility that is thoughtfully conceived,” a representative said in a release.
