Teaneck Woman Struck by Car in Ridgewood Friday Morning
47-year-old Teaneck woman taken to Valley Hospital after being struck by a vehicle at W. Ridgewood Ave. and N. Monroe St. Friday morning.
RIDGEWOOD -- A Teaneck woman was taken to Friday morning after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the intersection of W. Ridgewood Ave. and N. Monroe St, said.
According to Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward, a 62-year-old Ridgewood woman turned from W. Ridgewood Ave. onto N. Monroe at about 7:32 a.m. and struck the pedestrian walking east-to-west in the crosswalk.
The victim was transported to Valley Hospital suffering from a head injury. Her injuries were not believed to be considered serious, Ward said.

The driver was issued a summons for failure to yield to a pedestrian in the crosswalk, Ward said.
