Washington Woman Seeks to Clear Her Name of Soviet Connections

Moscowitz, of Washington Township, NJ, was convicted of passing information to Soviets in 1950 and served two years in jail.

“People were sitting back thinking all of this was true,” Moscowitz told My9NJ. “It wasn’t, it was a campaign.”

She “admits” that was associated with two men who were likely passing information. One was her boss, Abe Brothman, with whom Moscowitz had an affair.

Brothman was married during their affair, resulting in more “tabloid fodder” that led to her arrest and conviction.

The government is only considering hearing her case, and initially wanted “more time” to decide. But Miriam is probably approaching the end of her life, and so she’s working to gather evidence for her defense.
