Woman Severely Burned In 'Suspicious' Bergen County Blaze: Prosecutor
A woman was hospitalized after a suspicious fire that destroyed a home in Bergen County.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A woman was hospitalized and prosecutors are investigating after a fire destroyed a home in Bergen County on Thursday morning, according to officials.
First responders headed to the "suspicious" blaze at 12 Cameron Road around 11:44 a.m., said Deputy Chief of Detectives Jeff Angermeyer.
A woman in the home was able to escape before firefighters arrived, but suffered from severe burns and smoke inhalation and was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, he said.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Tenafly Police Department are investigating.
Tenafly's volunteer ambulance corps posted photos of the blaze and wrote, "Earlier today, TVAC was dispatched to standby at a residential fire within the Borough. Six members staffed Ambulance 41 and 42."
