2 Crashes Snarl Parkway Traffic In Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Two separate crashes on the Garden State Parkway in Toms River were causing delays during the evening commute on Monday.

Three vehicles were involved in a northbound crash just before exit 82 and at least one person was taken away in an ambulance, according to a Patch reporter on the scene.

Another crash south of exit 81 involved at least two vehicles with one overturned.

One left lane is blocked northbound on the Parkway, and two right lanes are blocked southbound, both as of just after 5 p.m., according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
