2 Hurt In Head-On Crash In Toms River
Toms River police said both drivers declined to be taken to the hospital by EMS after the crash on Hooper Avenue.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Two people suffered minor injuries in a crash on Hooper Avenue Tuesday morning, Toms River police said.
The crash happened about 7:35 a.m. at the intersection of Hooper Avenue and Fischer Boulevard, police said.
Elan Watkins of Toms River was driving south on the Hooper Avenue exit ramp in a 2006 Chevy Impala when he lost control and crossed over the center median and onto the northbound ramp from Fischer Boulevard, police said.

There the Impala hit a 2021 Honda HRV driven by Brianna Conticchio, also of Toms River, police said.
Both Watkins and Conticchio declined to be taken to the hospital, police said.

As a result of the investigation by Traffic Safety Officer Ryan Fitzgerald, Watkins was issued a careless driving summons.
