Beachwood Man Ejected From Car During Parkway Crash In Toms River
The man was flown to a trauma center for treatment, state police said. Two other people suffered minor injuries, police said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Beachwood man was injured Sunday in a collision between a car and a pickup truck on the Garden State Parkway, New Jersey State Police said.
Christopher Howell, 32, of Beachwood, was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries, Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.
The crash was reported at 3:28 p.m. on Sunday on the southbound side of the Parkway at milepost 83.8 in Toms River. A Honda passenger vehicle and a Ford pickup truck were traveling south when they collided and hit the guardrail, Lebron said.

Howell, who was driving the Honda, was ejected from his car during the crash, he said.
The pickup ran off the road and overturned, he said. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck sustained minor injuries, he said. They were not identified.

The crash remains under investigation.
