Broadway Meets The Beach Brings Musical Stars To Seaside Heights
Broadway ticket giveaways, meet-and-greets and more are part of the free performances on the boardwalk in Seaside Heights.
SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Broadway talents will be hitting the boards again this summer, as Broadway Meets the Beach returns to Seaside Heights.
The shows are scheduled for three dates at the Franklin Avenue stage, near Lucky Leo's, with performances by stars of some of the most well-known Broadway shows.
The shows will have "plenty of opportunities to join the performers on stage to win tickets to Broadway smashes" including "Six," "Peter Pan Goes Wrong," "Shucked" and "Some Like It Hot," said Joseph John Brunetti, who created Broadway Meets The Beach. There also will be a meet-and-greet after each show where fans can meet the performers.

Among the stars scheduled to perform are John Cudia, the only person to play both the Phantom in "Phantom Of The Opera" and Jean Valjean in "Les Miserables;" New Jersey native Felipe Rose, who is the Indian in The Village People; the original casts of "Nunsense" and "Mike and Mindy's Wild Weekend Jam," and Korie Lee Blossey, who plays the Genie in "Aladdin."
The shows, set for 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m. on Monday, June 26, Friday, July 14, and Friday, Aug. 11, are produced by Brunetti — the inventor of Crocs — and Dee Pellegrino, a longtime Shore area marketing expert. Keller Williams Realty Shore Properties is sponsoring the series.
