Broadway Meets The Beach Returns To Seaside Heights Boardwalk

The summer series returns with Broadway stars sharing their talents on three dates on the Seaside Heights boardwalk.

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — If you love Broadway shows, you can get a taste of them this summer with the return of Broadway Meets The Beach to the Seaside Heights boardwalk.

The three-performance series begins Friday, July 18 and features not only Broadway stars but new performers making their marks, producer Joseph John Brunetti said.

Among the newcomers is Little Bay, who recently drew wide praise from the judges during his audition on America's Got Talent.

The free shows begin at 6:30 p.m. on the Franklin Avenue stage.

  • Friday, July 18: CHICAGO Night
  • Friday, Aug. 15: ALADDIN & MAMMA MIA Night
  • Monday, Sept. 1: THE GREAT GATSBY Night!

The shows will include performances by stars from the Broadway shows Chicago, The Lion King, Miss Saigon, Cabaret, The Producers, The Addams Family, Mamma Mia, Aladdin, Kinky Boots, and The Great Gatsby.

In addition, Brunetti and theatre director Katie Campbell Sherman have added "Future Stars" kicking off at each show, with 50 talented New Jersey kids who have been rehearsing for weeks and will spend the show days with the Broadway stars performing at each event. They will rehearse with the Broadway stars, have dinner with them and then perform at the evening's Broadway Meets The Beach performance.

Bring beach chairs to sit and enjoy the performances. The concerts also include prize giveaways including Broadway show tickets, dinners at Seaside Heights restaurants and more, Brunetti said.
