I’ve been in the hair industry for over 20 years, and opening my own salon has always been a lifelong dream. I named the salon in honor of my father, who passed away last year. He was the proud dad of five daughters, and with his passing, his name would have ended with him. By giving the salon his name, I’ve created a way to keep his legacy alive and honor the strong work ethic and values he instilled in me. At our salon, we’re not just about great hair—we’re about family, community, and carrying forward a legacy of hard work and care.

The tree lighting ceremony and celebration is set for Friday, Dec. 6, and will include live entertaiment, hot chocolate and cookies for sale from Toms River Volunteer Fire Company 1, and Santa Claus arriving by firetruck. There will be photos with Santa after the tree lighting. The event begins at 5 p.m. and Santa's arrival will be about 7 p.m. and downtown restaurants and businesses will be open. On Saturday, Dec. 7, downtown will transform into a Winter Wonderland, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Washington Street. There will be family activities, caroling, holiday music, face painting, ornament painting and story time, along with other fun, organizers say.
