Couple Robbed At Gunpoint In Bedroom In Toms River
Toms River police said the couple woke up to find the man in their bedroom. Authorities are searching for the suspect.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a couple in their bedroom at gunpoint early Saturday, Toms River police said.
Police were called to a home on Hundred Oaks Drive at 5:11 a.m. Saturday by the homeowners, who told the dispatcher a man wearing a blue sweatshirt and a black-and-orange mask was in their bedroom, Lt. Gene Bachonski said.
The man pointed a firearm at them and demanded money, then after the brief encounter, ran downstairs and out of the house, Bachonski said.

Police found a back door of the house open, which may have been how the man left the house. They searched the home and the area but did not find the man, he said.
The robber took about $560 in cash and credit cards from a purse, Bachonski said.
