TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Regional School District will have a 90-minute delayed opening Tuesday due to the extreme cold, the district announced Monday night.
Temperatures were expected to get down to the single digits overnight in much of New Jersey as frigid weather sweeps across the area for most of the week.
The National Weather Service has predicted wind chills below zero, prompting warnings about taking precautions to avoid potential hypothermia.
