Driving Oak Avenue In Toms River? Beware Of The Bump
An issue with the asphalt plant forced the halt, leaving a large drop from new asphalt to milled road, authorities said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Drivers who will be traveling Oak Avenue on Wednesday are urged to exercise caution due to a significant bump caused by a paving issue, authorities said.
The construction manager for the paving project, which is being done by Ocean County, said the bump is on Oak Avenue on the approach to Bay Avenue.
It happened because the asphalt plant supplying the asphalt broke down during paving operations, he said, leaving the contractor unable to put new asphalt along the entire stretch of milled pavement.
