Flooding Affecting Route 35 On Barrier Island From Barnegat Bay
A closure is in place in Toms River and Bridge Avenue is closed in Bay Head, according to authorities.

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — A portion of Route 35 in Toms River is closed Monday morning due to flooding caused by Sunday's storm, authorities said.
Flooding also has closed Bridge Avenue in Bay Head, authorities said.
The Route 35 closure is on the southbound side near Strickland Boulevard in Toms River, near the Dover Beaches portion of the township, according to the state Department of Transportation's traffic website.

The Ocean County Sheriff's Office said flooding is affecting multiple roads in Bay Head in addition to the Bridge Avenue closure.
The National Weather Service, which issued a coastal flood advisory that is in place until 4 p.m. Monday, said one of its gauges recorded a water height of 3.08 feet above flood stage on Barnegat Bay at 6:06 a.m. Monday.

The gauge that recorded the level is near the Mantoloking Bridge. Flood stage for the bay is 1.7 feet; 3.08 feet falls in the moderate flooding category.
