He Loved Spreading Joy: Michael Olchaskey Of Toms River Remembered
Michael "Mickey" Olchaskey was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and a kind and giving man, his family said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Michael "Mickey" Olchaskey is being remembered as an avid Eagles fan, an excellent bowler and a kind, giving man who spread joy.
Olchaskey, who died Jan. 9, had lived in Toms River since retiring from his job as a court aide in Middlesex County Court in New Brunswick, his family said. He was 68.
"Mickey was loved by all who knew him. He was a kind, giving man, who loved spreading joy wherever he went," his family said. "An excellent bowler, he bowled in leagues at Carolier Lanes in North Brunswick, where his father Sonny owned the restaurant, and his brother OJ owned the pro shop. An avid Eagles fan, he never missed a chance to cheer them on to victory. Mickey resides forever in our hearts."

He was a devout Catholic and attended St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Toms River; previously he belonged to St. Thomas, where he served as an usher, his family said.
He is survived by his partner Jill Ostman; four stepchildren, Joshua Schuster and his wife Jenna; Jordana Schuster and her husband Allen; Michael Beberman, and Sara Beberman, and 8 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his mother Dorothy, father Sonny, and his brother James "OJ" Olchaskey.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, Toms River.
A service will be held at noon on Feb. 3, 2023, at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 130 St. Maximilian Kolbe Lane, Toms River.
