Here’s Why Nora Was Shouted Out As A Toms River Star Student
We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who's having an impact in Toms River.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Tracy Hanson, who nominated Nora, a student in her fourth grade class in Toms River.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Nora is an excellent example of a star student, both in and out of school. In my 4th grade classroom, she strives every day to work hard and achieve her very best. She excels in all academic areas, especially math (she is in Math Enrichment at our school). Nora is also always kind, considerate and extremely helpful to others. Outside of school, she is involved in many activities, including Girl Scouts and ice hockey. I am proud of all of her accomplishments this school year!
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Nora is an AMAZING ice hockey player, and she plays on both an all-girl and a co-ed hockey team!
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Nora!
