How Much Snow Did Toms River Get?
The cleanup continues across New Jersey Sunday after a nor'easter that dropped as much as 21 inches of snow in some areas.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A day after a nor'easter dumped as much as 21 inches of snow in New Jersey, clean-up work is ongoing including in Toms River on Sunday.
Toms River officials said plow crews were working through the night Saturday into Sunday to get the roads cleared.
The township received 17 inches of snow, according to totals reported to the National Weather Service.

"The majority of our calls for service today have been disabled vehicles," Toms River police said. "Please stay off the roads and allow for plowing operations to continue to clear the roads."
"Toms River is 43 square miles and this is a large storm. Crews are doing everything they can to make our roads passable, please limit travel to emergencies only," police said.

If you waited until Sunday to shovel, remember to push the snow instead of lifting, and drink plenty of water. Remember to shovel out around any fire hydrants near your home.
And dress warmly as temperatures were set to drop into the single digits overnight and were expected to stay cold for the start of the day.
