Ocean County Artists Guild Unveils Community Mural

The local arts non-profit debuts its latest project: "We Grow Artists"

The Ocean County Artists Guild recently completed a mural entitled "We Grow Artists".

The 4x8 display is a labor of love crafted by members of the Guild--spearheaded by OCAG President, Kim Cesaretti.

The mural initially began with line drawings created by Guild members. Using photoshop, a cohesive image was then transferred onto the mural much like a giant paint-by-numbers drawing. Members were then invited to take part in painting the floral scene--a process that took about two weeks.

While an official unveiling is slated for this Spring, the public is encouraged to stop by and take in "We Grow Artists" today!

This mural was made possible in part by a grant administered by the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
