Red Flag Wildfire Warning Issued For Ocean County
The National Weather Service issued the warning that conditions are right to allow a wildfire to spread rapidly in Ocean County.

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning that conditions are present that increase the risk of wildfires in Ocean County.
The warning is in effect from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, the weather service said.
Low relative humidity and gusty winds are expected; the forecast is for wind from the north at 10 to 15 mph, gusting to 20 to 25 mph, and humidity as low as 20 percent.

Temperatures Wednesday are forecast to be in the mid- to upper 60s.
"The combination of dry conditions, low relative humidity, and gusty winds will result in favorable conditions for the rapid spread of fires on Wednesday," the weather service alert said.
