'She’s Going To Change The World': Ally, Toms River Star Student
We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts or volunteer service. Here's one local resident who's having an impact in Toms River.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Emma, who nominated her daughter, Ally, of Toms River.
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Ally goes out of her way to include and love everyone. She is literal human sunshine. She never lost her sparkle even after her she had to battle pneumonia and hospitalization and when her Mimi passed away. Her academic skills and her love for all never wavered. She’s everything I wish I was and more. I work at a local nursing home as well and one of her favorite things to do is visit and chat with our residents. She’s just such a special girl.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
Ally, who's a second grader, has the kindest heart and would do anything to help anyone and cheer them up. She just wants to be friends with everyone and doesn’t understand when people are mean. She’s going to change the world one day.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Ally!
