Five vehicles, including two parked in a driveway, were damaged in the crash, police said.

MANCHESTER, NJ — A Toms River man was taken to the hospital Monday after a crash on Ridgeway Road that resulted in damage to five vehicles, including two parked in a driveway, Manchester police said.
Yaphet Acevedo-Nunez, 45, was taken to Ocean University Medical Center in Brick for treatment of injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, Manchester Capt. James Komsa said.
The crash happened about 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of Ridgeway Road and Commonwealth Boulevard, he said.

The preliminary crash investigation found Sean Scott, 24, of Manchester, was driving a red Ford Mustang and trying to turn left from Ridgeway Road onto Commonwealth Boulevard when he was hit by a silver Mercedes-Benz CLK driven by Thomas White, 56, of Manahawkin, and a black Kia Sportage driven by Acevedo-Nunez, Komsa said.
The impact sent the Kia onto the property at 1991 Ridgeway Road, where it hit a red Dodge Ram and a silver Toyota Highlander that were parked in the driveway and unoccupied, he said.

Scott did not report any injuries at the scene and White reported a minor injury but refused medical attention, Komsa said.
All three drivers appeared to have been wearing their seatbelts, he said.
Traffic was diverted in the area while officers completed preliminary investigation efforts.
Patrolman Keith Douglas of the Traffic Safety Unit is investigating, but an improper turn appears to be the primary contributing factor, Komsa said.
Assisting at the scene were emergency medical technicians from the Manchester Township Division of Emergency Services, paramedics from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and Accurate Towing.
