Toms River Mom, Grandma Is 'Always Putting Others In Front Of Herself'

TOMS RIVER, NJ— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

She is always there for us and her co-workers. She works a lot of hours, and no matter what we need she is there. Her co-workers are in need of an ear to talk to, right down to just needing a boost, she helps them. Always putting others in front of herself. She is also always there for her three grandchildren.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom has done so much for her three children and also for so many others that know her, everyone is always calling her mom cause she shows so much love to everyone around her, and she does all this and never once asks for anything in return. She is more than a great mom — she is a great grandmother and she deserves to be recognized for all she does cause she never knows how much she impacted mine and many others' lives
